What a world
I remember in 2019. I was a young developer trying to practice my craft by creating small toy projects. And what is a developer's favorite toy project? A personal blog of course.
I stretched my tech muscles and learned a whole JavaScript framework for that. The shiny great Gatsby JS (RIP).
I spent 1 week reading the documentation, another week deciding what the hell to do and 2 other weeks of trying different approaches to get the first draft of the fruit of my labor: Codecrumbs
This was my first tech blog. It took almost 2 months to get somewhat working. I can still remember to this day how much I spent tweaking the transition animation between the pages. It was a real joy to see it working and a real mofo to get it right.
Fast forward to 2026, I decided to up my blog game and revive Codecrumbs.
In real 2026 fashion, I opened Claude Code and Chatgpt, wrote a bunch of text and 2 hours later I had this baby [waw].
In 2 hours I thought about branding, tech stacks, I learned how to deploy a website, thought about the name, bought the domain name and configured everything.
If you told that young developer in 2019 that this is what the future would look like he would have laughed in your face.
